Dear family Schmitt, we have goose breast at Christmas Legs of goose ordered and picked up. These were very tasty and tender. The enclosed preparation for the oven was also perfect. We went here with the family to celebrate a 60th birthday. Attention was paid to all hygiene measures. We were in a separate room above the "normal" restaurant. The room seemed a bit too cool to me personally, but this is a matter of taste. First there was a marrow dumpling soup and then a buffet with venison, salmon and schnitzel. Personally, I had venison and schnitzel. Both were very tasty and recommendable. Even the well-known people who had tried salmon were very satisfied. The waitresses were very smart and attentive. We will definitely come back.

We were here for a family reunion and had the premise on the first floor. The restaurant paid attention to the COVID guideline. We had two service employees who were very attentive, efficient and very friendly. Here a very big compliment. The food was served as a buffet. The products were good and everything was delicious. The dining room on the first floor was well attended.

Friendly service, the food was delicious and really a good big portion. Today was one of the days when Oktoberfest is celebrated. This takes 3 weeks, actually just as long as the one in Munich, as the waitress in dirndl told us.

Really good food, excellent service.

At first glance, Gasthof Schmitt is a typical small town inn: Rustic interior, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The rooms are clean and modern, but nothing to write home about. Why give a five star rating, then? Since I never before was treated with so much hospitality in a hotel, ever, once the next morning came. There were only a few guests staying that night, and apparently, I was the only one for breakfast – and they set up the whole thing just for me, preparing the room, setting the table, bringing the food, making friendly smalltalk all the time... I was blown away. Wholly recommended.
